interface for assigning battle orders
 

Thanks to the tips between turns I found the trick where I can highlight a commander's battle order with my mouse, hold control-x (where x is a number) to store the order then highlight another commander's battle order and press the number, which copies the battle order to the new commander.

However is there a quick way to add a new battle order to the end of existing battle orders? It is very tedious having to reassign the same old orders if you just want to add a new one onto the end of an existing one.
