How Do you Specify The Weapon Mount Size ?
Some weapons will allow you to use a larger more powerful mount. How do you specify the size you want ?

not exactly. some ship sizes will let you use larger mounts for any direct fire weapon. in the ship design view, there is a button on the TOP RIGHT that will let you pick the weapon mount that you want.
lock and load, and good hunting. |

Yes, I have seen the mount button, but when I click on it it just lists the sizes and ship size requirements. Is this the button ? How do I actually choose a heavier mount? Thanks.

Re: How Do you Specify The Weapon Mount Size ?
After you select the Weapon Mount Button you click on the mount you want (the descriptions you are refering to are clickable), then all weapons that can have a differen't mount will be displayed with a letter in the upper left corner showing the mount size you chose (H for heavy, L for large, etc...). Note: This does NOT change any weapons you already placed, only weapons you place after selecting the new mount size. Therefore you can mix-match mounts as you like as long as the hull can support it.

Re: How Do you Specify The Weapon Mount Size ?
Claymore- When you are in that listing screen click on the mount you want. When you return to the design screen, the eligible weapons should now have an "L," "H" or "M", etc. signifying that when added to the design, that weapon will be a Large Mount, Heavy Mount, Massive Mount, etc. You can double check that stats by right-clicking on the weapon.
OK KiloOhm - I see we both responded at the same time! [This message has been edited by Tampa_Gamer (edited 31 January 2001).] [This message has been edited by Tampa_Gamer (edited 31 January 2001).] |
