Great Emperor & other human pretenders
 

Does anyone use the Great Emperor pretender - if so why is he so expensive at 60 pts, double the basic Archmage? He does have Astral 1 and start with Dominion 2 instead of 1, but that's only 17 pts and his stats don't seem to be much better at all.. I was expecting him to have Awe or at least really high leadership but he doesn't. I've also thought that some of the misc humans such as Frost Father and Great Warlock (even the Master Druid and Enchantress) are a little overpriced for how much use their abilities really are in the game. It might be better if they got some more bonuses on certain spells (maybe on all Enchantment spells for the Enchantress), got some additional advantage when in hot/cold provinces, or could affect some scales in their current province independently of dominion.

That is one damn comfy-looking litter, though..

He affects the events in the province he's in, meaning more lucky ones are to be expected, IIRC.

The Jade Emperor is the one that affects luck events. He is a giant mage that only T'ien Ch'i can take.

An intrinsic magic skill or higher dominion reduces costs more at higher levels. To raise dom from nine to ten is much cheaper if yo uhave 2 in start dominion strength. Also he has more misc slots.
