Full Magic Sites List

Okay, eventually I found the time to check all new magic sites (the only question I've avoided so far is "Underwater ?", the Last column). Also, I've got the full game yesterday so I've only tested the demo and I dont know much about the new nations, that could be a problem for some national sites I missed. Oh well, so far (by level 0/1/2/3/4), and without the national starting sites :
- 42 Air sites (3/21/9/8/1)
- 46 Astral sites (6/19/9/9/3)
- 22 Blood sites (2/9/7/4/0)
- 46 Death sites (3/24/11/5/3)
- 61 Earth sites (16/22/11/11/1)
- 35 Fire sites (3/20/8/3/1)
- 9 Holy sites (1/1/3/3/1)
- 8 Unholy (2/1/2/2/1)
- 54 Water sites (6/29/12/5/1)

very nice work indeed.

The question which had me pestering me since dom1 is: are the site occurences equiprobables amongst sites wich can fit a province (because as in dom2 some sites could not appears in a province I think, like a farm of plenty in mountain, or a site modifying toward cold scale in a desert).

Major excellence.

Im glad you are so careful when typing in the names. It helps in generating a list for automated use (too bad Illwinter doesnt number them like they did the units). Lots of extra blank fields there. Planning to expand?

If terrain does end up being a factor maybe we can use the same numbering system that Dom2 uses? That would help the RMC also (Random Map Cult). Or would that make it harder for manual map makers to use?

Looks like 2 magics for searching holds true, 3 for priests (good prophet duty for some nations). SPeaking of priests it looks like holy/unholy sites can use some brainstorming if people can come up with suggestions that arent too extreme. In other words, not the gifts they give but idea and theme names. Worth a thread?

TIA

<font size="2" face="sans-serif, arial, verdana">Unfortunately I'd not the time to test sites like in a real game, checking the appearance % (is the level 4 site really unique, or simply harder to find because you've 1 chance to get this one but 60 chance to get another one), and the conditions to find them. Officially, there are "more" sites in remote areas like mountains or forests. That's all I know.
I worked like in a production line. Scripted all sites 4 by 4 in provinces around my capital, then sent a mage with level 1 in all schools, followed by another with level 2 etc...

Cheers

Sites are numbered. At least to me http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon12.gif

* Edit: actually they are not. Only 0-70 and 490+. Of course they have numbers (the order in the database), but these numbers I have without a boring counting procedure. *

<font size="2" face="sans-serif, arial, verdana">Ummm yeah OK. But they dont work with the commands for .map? I could do alot sooner if I didnt have to use the long name for sites. (yes its called laziness)
