Just for information and as far as I know
this is the requirements to create ALL magic artifacts :

fire----5
air-----4
water---4
earth---5
astral--5
death---5
nature--4
blood---5

in other terms : if you have one rainbow mage with all these skills at least, he could then create any artifact

All items can't be done smithed. You have to either wish for them or to find them. They include the equipment of that highly experienced paladin I never saw alive, Bogus' precious ring, Hammer of Cyclops that can be found from the province with two cyclops defending it etc. There are quite a many of them.
