Re: Items Your mages can create magic items based on their magics. For instance, a mage with fire magic can use some fire gems to create a ring of protection from fire. If you research a couple levels of "construction" then you can make more stuff such as a "dragon helm" that shoots fireballs. |

Re: Items More notes: A lot of items require the forger to have a certain amount of two magic paths, but never more than two paths, and never more than fifth level. Base forge cost, on a path by path basis, is 5/10/20/40/80 of the corresponding gem/blood slave type for level 1/2/3/4/5. There are no items that require holy/unholy magic. Ulm smiths, Iron Faith priests get a 25% discount. Dwarven hammers give 25% discount. Hammer of the Forge Lord, Hammer of the Cyclops each 50% discount. Certain magic sites give a 20% forging discount in that province. "Forge of the Ancients" appears to halve cost after all other modifiers, plus it effectively increases magic by one for forging purposes in every path -- including paths the mage doesn't have! The items made available at Construction 8 are unique artifacts which cannot be rebuilt if still in existence. |
