Testbeding

How do you do it?

Re: Testbeding

Depending on for what. Most of the time it's just relentless trial on error on the parts of most of us who testbed. Though I did get some good information from Kristoffer.

Here are some of the formulas for Awe.

(snip)
It increases every 25 leadership. Seems to start at 75. It is cumulative with
the heroic ability awe.

(Leadership -75)/25 + (Hero_awe_base -75)/25.

4 (IIRC) is is subtracted from the value to get the actual value.

(snip)

This was useful information for the Magic Item Quickref, as I kept getting Awe on things that wern't giving awe, just leadership http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon7.gif

Second is how Awe works vs Morale (May have been posted earlier, I dunno)

(snip)
It was rather simple. 10 + awe + 2D6(oe) vs MRL +2D6(oe). I'll leave the
posting to you. I think the numbers has been mentioned earlier.

java Fight 39*Heavy_Inf_Ring 30*Barbarian_Sword

Who wins? In this case I decided not to invade, though I would have if they had been Maul barbarians. Morale and routing can factor heavily, though, and are not considered in the sim.

There is the battle simulator that Saber made. The notes people have done about making game-saves. And the little mini-map that I made. All can make test-bedding easier
