Trouble with Mac OSX 2.06 patch

Hi all.

I'm a newbie Dominions 2 player playing on an I-Mac w/OSX 10.2.8. I recently saw the 2.06 patch on the Shrapnel Games website and downloaded it successfully. I have the file dompatch206_osx.tar.gz on my desktop. When I decompress it and double-click the resulting file or folder (I sometimes get one or the other) I just get error Messages. Anybody have any suggestions?

Thanks.

Unfortunatelly it is not a double click only patch.

You have to open the application bundles and copy the new files into the old application bundle.

Download patch for Mac OS X. Unzip file, control-click on it, and select "Show Package Contents". Then open up your dominions application in the same manner and replace all the individual files (not entire folders) in the dominions application with their corresponding equivalents from the patch.

Thanks for the reply, but you lost me!

"Open the application bundles"? I have no idea how to do this.

Also, when I try to open the folder that appears after decompressing by double-clicking, the game itself launches and then immediately quits with an error.

Any suggestions?

Thanks.
