Fatigue from item spells, calculated how?

Hiya.

Does fatigue from item spells assume minimal competency, or is it an arbitrary fixed amount per activation?

If not the latter, does having higher magic skill in one of the relevant paths decrease fatigue when using items?

Also while we are on the subject of fatigue, for multipath spells... I assume the first element listed is the fatigue determinant? or is it a whichever is better calculation?

Thanks for all replies,

this rule at least is simple : its a fixed cost, 5 pts.

edit: yes only the first path is used for multipaths spells.
