Question on Dwarven Hammer / Forge of Ancients / Hammer o Forge Lord
I still can't seem to figure it out the exact differences and functions:
- the hammers seem to make it so you need less gems to make an item; but do they also lower the requirements of the forger, and if so, by how much? - the forge of the ancients: does it let you forge items for which you have not yet researched (e.g. make an Artifact at research level 7 instead of 8) or is it just like the hammers (?), and if so, by what degree? |
Re: Question on Dwarven Hammer / Forge of Ancients / Hammer o Forge Lord
The hammers only reduce the cost of the items, but won't allow you to forge items you could not forge without them.
Forge of the Ancient both reduces the cost, and gives all of your forgers an extra level in ALL magic paths for the purpose of forging object. So under Forge of the Ancient, a mage with fire 2 will "have" fire 3 and air/water/earth/death/nature/astral/blood 1 for the purpose of forging, and would be able to make a blood 1 item for example... |

Edited something I figured out right after I posted.
Also, what is the Forge of Ancients? How do you get it? [ February 03, 2004, 06:42: Message edited by: Darryl ] |

It is a global enchantment. Construction 7, Earth 5.
