how is unit-upkeep calculated?
hi, see topic. How much is the upkeep for units, i.e. a unit costs 20 gold for recruiting and 10 ressources, how much does it cost each turn to maintain this unit (no ressource, but how much gold) and how is the reducement for sacred units?

Upkeep is split into two parts. Sacred and Non-Sacred. Non-Sacred Upkeep = (Initial Cost)/15 Per Turn Sacred Upkeep = (Initial Cost/30 Per Turn A number of Summons (like Trolls) have an initial cost variable while others do not that is not usually visible. Only a few types of summons are upkeep free. |
Re: how is unit-upkeep calculated?
thanks.
Now just one more @ Zen How do i found out about upkeep for summons ? I was thinking about a mictian theme with a blood fountain pretender doing the hunts while approx 2-4 of the blood2 nature2 pump out crossbreeds and later improved crossbreeds. Now since i need to get heat 1 i was thinking about the problem with supplies, both gold and food-wise. btw: it says that one human-sized unit takes 1 supply, i was thinking human size is either 2 or 3, how much supply does a size 1 or respectivly size 4 5 6 unit take per turn ? ty everyone ! |

I don't know off hand what the upkeep of Foul Spawns is, but I'm sure it's not really all that much since I've had massive armies of them and it didn't tear apart my economy. You may be able to find their initial cost in the mod tools. As for your Heat 1 Preference. It doesn't matter what your troop type is, if your nation has a preference of Heat 1 then all your provinces behave the same even though they may be made up of different species and nations. Also if you are in your domain you shouldn't see too much of an impact as far as supply and if your provinces are in your domain a gold issue. In order to counteract moving out of your domain and losing supplies, you might want to use some of your nature gems to make a few winebags or cauldrons. Or alternatively design a pretender with a quick and easy castle (Like a Wizard's Tower) in order to keep your supply where you need it to be. |
