Help- Recuiting Bug?

I have had this problem in 75% of the games I have played, regardless of race. In squares I own, including fortified squares other than my starting fortress (usually castle, but not important), I have intermittent recruiting problems. Here's the deal- I'll recruit some units. They show up in the purchased section at the bottom, it will dock me the gold and resources. I'll end the turn, host, and enter the next turn. There won't be any relevent events. There is enough supply in the province to support the additional units. Buildings (if required) will still be there. No surrounding territories were captured (possibly affecting resources). The units will still be in the build queue.

Sometimes, if I clear the queue, put the same units in, and proceed to the next turn, they will get made. Other times I have gone 5 or more turns before giving up on ever making units in that province. It has never happened in my starting square.

Any thoughts, suggestions, or advice on this issue?

That one confused me at first also. Most likely it's due to the "Holy" value in the recruiting screen. We tend to watch the resources and gold when recruiting, and don't look at that. Are you recruiting sacred units? Once you go over your allotted Holy amount, it puts them in queue to be recruited in subsequent turns.

Nope, not recuiting holy units. I should have added that in too.

Also if your unrest goes over 100% you cannot recruit. If you hover at the 100% level it can be a problem. Going over locks it but coming back down doesnt seem to move the queue again. I sometimes have to clear the queue and reselect, then they get made.

what? Gandalf??? You need to re-que? Never!... never had that problem........................................... ... that problem.... it doesn't exist....................................

I think your problem is there's a bug that if a province doesn't have enough resources to recruit 1 unit, it will never recruit the unit.

For example, if a calvary costs 30 resources and the availible resources is 15 the calvary unit won't get created in two turns... It will just never be created. THIS is a bug.

Edit: You guys gotta treat people as a non-newb first... then you can state the obvious stuff.

Edit2: Actually Gandalf, I have a habit of making sure I never go over the availible resources, but I don't remember having that problem when I did go over.

Actually I think that's intentional.

I didn't know that bug, but this is different. I take care not to drive the resources negative. Some more information- the issue comes up most frequently when I'm recruiting woodsmen- the archer type. I think they're 10 gold and 3 resources, so I can queue up about 6 or 7 usually in the province without going negative. I mostly play abyssians, and the woodsmen are a good missile unit since I can't make any.

The other night I was recruiting in 4 provinces, 2 castled, 2 not. My home province was doing fine, as was an Onyx amazon one. The woodsman province wasn't recruiting, neither was another random province I built a castle on.

If you don't like it, perhaps you should not read the post?

Of course if every post was as informative as one of yours with the same whiny undertone. It'd be hard to not treat you as a troll instead of a newb.

<font size="2" face="sans-serif, arial, verdana">It may be that you were recruiting a commander that required resources then units. The game recruits commanders first, then units. So if you for example, make a Commander taking up 20 resources and that province only makes 22 Resources, and you had 5 woodsman recruting as well. It will recruit the commander first, then the woodsman.

Or alternatively it could be an issue with unrest, as Gandalf stated. As for anything else, I have no idea. If you want you can send a copy of your same game file to info@illwinter dot com and they can look at it if you think it is a legitimate bug.
