Robe of Shadows vs. Robe of Missile Protection
 

I just realized that I always opt for the Robe of Shadows over Missile Protection. I think my reasoning is that ethereal is better than air shield, but I don't know if this is true. Any comments on this?

<font size="2" face="sans-serif, arial, verdana">Being ethereal doesn't do you any good if the arrows come from a magical weapon. The robe of missile protection is also cheaper, and uses air gems.

<font size="2" face="sans-serif, arial, verdana">FA are considered magical, IIRC. In that case, the missile protect would be by far better.

Yep, fire arrows ignore ethereal.

But ethereal works against hand weapons too.

IIRC missile cloaks are cheaper, assuming you have air gems.

Man, I didn't think of fire arrows. I usually have enough units around my mages that ranged magic weapons aren't a big concern, but fire arrows could really crimp my current style. Thanks for the input.
