I don't know how you should get it faster, but my guess is that OpenGL acceleration isn't working on your setup.

matrox parhelia: trouble with battle fps

very strange, using a 128 meg matrox parhelia card on a dell win xp machine right out of the box.

running latest video, sound, direct x etc

when I go into the ingame video settings it starts out somewhere in the hundreds of fps range then starts dropping down until it gets down to 1-5 fps.

running on a p4 3.2 at 1024 768, tried switchign from 32 bit to 16 bit also, etc

at the end of my troubleshootign rope, any suggestions. Worst case I'll switch out the card and go back to nvidia 5200 but I'd like to stick wih the parhelia if I could

thanks,

evilekim

lil bump

just tried some other opengl games including quake3 and they work fine. wanted to check the opengl acceleration as you recommended

looks like the problem is specific to dominions2

any other thoughts, its benchmarking the battle screen at 3fps on the lowest setting
