Misc Qs
After playing the demo for a few days I am hooked. I ordered the game Last night and am eagerly awaiting it. I'll have it by Monday. No more sleep after that!!
I have a few Qs that I did not find answers to in the stickies. 1) Is expereience for all commanders? Pretender? National Heroes? Does it come from army kills or personal kills and what is its exact effect? 2) I read about a demon being able to "Corrupt Commander" Who can do this exactly? Is this some race's national hero? Is it a summoned monster? 3) I am still confused about Blessings. Is blessing active for all Pretenders based on their maic levels? That is what I read I think. What about holy/unholy? I am totally confused about blessings and holy/unholy. Sorry if some of these sound dumb. I have only played the demo and cannot wait to start with the real thing. TG |
Re: Misc Qs
Experience is for all units, not just commanders/pretenders/heroes/etc.
Below is a list of effects of increased experience ... For each star, the units get: Att +1 Def +1 Prec +1 Mrl +1 Additional bonuses: 1 star (15XP) 2 star (50XP) 3 star (100XP) Str +1 4 star (200XP) Enc -1 HP +2 5 star (400XP) Str +1 |
Re: Misc Qs
Do you get exp for winning a battle or for number of kills? And is it personal kills or kills by each army?
Thanks,\. TG |
Re: Misc Qs
Belphegor, Demon Lord, Lord of Corruption is the one with the Corrupt Commander command. It takes pretty heavy Blood Magic to get him.
Pretenders never get blessed; only sacred units, unholy units, Prophets (perma-blessed), or non-pretender commanders with items that confer blessings get Blessed. Blessing gives +3 morale for that battle, plus other benefits possible if pretender was designed with magic >= 4 in any magic path. Except for prophets or commander has blessing items, blessing only actually happens if holy/unholy priest blesses. |

Your pretender is never blessed, nor can he bless units, and your prophet is permanently blessed, even outside of combat. All other sacred units, unless they're wearing a Shroud of the Battle Saint (correct me if the name's wrong on that item) lose their blessing immediately after a battle, and have to be re-blessed in the next battle. Hope this helps, and that I haven't gotten too much of it wrong myself. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon10.gif EDIT: It must take me too long to type. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon9.gif Somebody always comes along and answers the question I was going to answer while I'm sitting here typing away.
