What files do I need for a game??

I am playing on a desktop but will be on the road for a week and would like to take whatever files I need and put them on my work laptop.

Exactly which file(s) are needed?

Thanks.

Isn't the pretender's data in a file in another directory?

The pretender is stored in the turnfiles, so that you can always create a new one without wrecking games in progress.

You need the ftherlnd file *and* the tga map (in the map folder), and your nation trn file.
The .2h file in the game folder is only useful for continuing orders on a turn already started, but not required.

But assuming I m using one of the default maps I do not need the file do I?

I assume the map file does not change during the game.
