I have an army with 2 leaders: - my pretenders + 40 militia - a mage with 4 bodyguards I set order to attak both to my pretender and militia ... the miltia is heavy damaged by arrows and start to route and ... my pretender (undamaged) do the same and than all the army (also the undamaged mage and his modyguards). I was thinking that every squad was independent ofr morale and route purpose and also the leader ... so, what was happening ? I sthere someone that could explain me weel how the morale and route works ? thkx Liga |

Re: how does really route works ?
Army rout is automatic when one of these conditions is met:
- all your squads (not counting bodyguards) are routing. - you have only leaders and bodyguards and a leader is slain. To prevent the kind of early rout you describe, put a crippled or limp militiaman in a separate squad in the rear with 'hold and attack' orders. Or better, you can use a single archer to the same effect. |
