Ligeia - D2 v2.08 PBEM with RPG elements

A huge fireball appears in the room where you are. As you examine it you can see, you can see that it's a kind of jug. A burning one. Using a chair you break it... There is a letter in it, written to a strange kind of skin. It's short and mysterious:
I great you, God of many names!
Do you know what means to be a god? And do you know how it feels to be imprisoned to a world that newer changes? I'm sure you do. But one of us can be free. Either you... Either me! If one can conquer all, he will be the one and only GOD in the universe... And the ultimate freedom... Can you imagine?
But who will be the one? Let's decide with sword and sorcery! You name the plane of existence where we will fight, and I name the rules.
Those are the following:
- The independents will have strength of five according to the Universal Rule System for Gods.
- The best commanders will gain name in the entire world. 15 of them will be remembered for ever.
- And you may rename the commanders. Remember: Changing their name means power over them.

I'm another PBEM player who has shown up! I would much rather play by PBEM than Online. I am excited about D2 partly _because_ the PBEM feature looks so good!

So, if anybody is going to start a PBEM game I want to be included!

If it is starting in April (or late next week), I'm certainly interested to play PBEM.
Do you have any more information on what you're planning? (Map, #players,preferred nations etc.)

It's probably the RPG element that intimidated or confused people http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon7.gif .

Anyway, it might be nicer to use a server if one is available. The game run smoother that way.
