Any new game starting this weekend? Norfleet, Zen, other veterans?....

I could definetly manage another MP Dominions2 game, preferably with strong and serious players. The quickstart or blitz-game over this weekend would be the best for me, since I find that first 10 or so turns are not very eventfull (usually) and could be played pretty fast, but regular 1 turn per day game would work for me as well.

Please let me know if there are any new games schedulled to start this weekend where I could participate.

With best regards,
Stormbinder

If you have patience, hanging out on the irc channel at irc.gamesurge.net port 6667 channel #dominions is almost certain to get you a game at some point.

I *WANT* to start a new game, and am currently camped out in the IRC. It looks like the Revenge is rapidly drawing to a close, as the others are slowly falling into despair at my strength and those that are not are either my allies, or being gradually laid to burnination. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon7.gif

Note to self: No more score graphs next time. It scares the chickens.

Truper : Thank you, I am aware of IRC from your and others tips. However since I am already playing two 1 turn-per-day games I can afford to be a bit picky now. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon7.gif The reason why I would like to join the game that would be propertly orginized on this or other similar Dom2 board comes from my expereince with other long MP strategy games , for example EU2 and AOW2.

You see, both of these games, like Dom2, tend to take more than one session (EU2 takes MUCH more), both of them has dedicated web-resource similar to IRC-chanell that you've mentioned (Gamespy for AOW2, special EU loudge for EU2), so you have a choice of joining game that is being orginized on game's forum, or just log to Gamespy or EU2 loundge and join some random game that will begin as soon as there is enough people hanging there. I expereinced both - many times, and from my experience games that were orginized on Boards tend to be much more fun because (in average) they tend to have more serious and dedicated players, less game-droppers (the particular type of players that I find very annoying) , more often than not they have special thread on the forum with AARs, rants, diplomacy, etc., and in general feel more orginized. (of course there are always exceptions from this rule, both ways, but it was true for those games in general).

Now I haven't yet tried IRC-chanell for Dom2 that you are reffering to. Maybe situation here is different from the one that I described from my expereince with games such as EU2 and AOW2? I would be very interested in learning it.

Norfleet: That sounds interesting, I would like to join. I haven't played with you yet, but from your and other people Posts I know that you are well-known for your mastery over Undead hordes. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon7.gif What are the game settings that you intend to play?

I wouldn't mind starting a game sometime soon of the World War scenario. I'm out of town this weekend though, so no blitz start for st.patrik

<font size="2" face="sans-serif, arial, verdana">Well, if I were to host a game, it would, of course, be World.

Sites-50, no more score graphs(they scare the chickens!), hopefully at least 8+ this time, because LAST time people complained that there were not enough victims and my undead hordes are too powerful in those conditions....and rich world, to help out all those living folkses with their expensive troops. To be kicked off with a blitz session to get us to about turn 30-ish or so, and then to lapse into a 2 or 3 turns a day game, preferrably.

And Last but not least, the most important rule: It ain't over till the fat lady sings. Everyone fights! No one quits!
