What are undead resistant to?

Are they resistant to..:
-Decay?
-Bane Magic?
-Wraith Sword?

Re: What are undead resistant to?

None of those, I believe. Even a pure Life Drain attack will damage a lifeless unit, if memory serves, although it will not heal the attacker. Even if they were completely immune to a life drain, a Wraith Sword will still do ordinary physical damage as well.

Corpses can still decay, and even the Banefire Sceptre does just that as well IIRC -- heavy physical damage plus a decay effect.

Well I'm kinda trying to kill Soul-Gate Ermor and I need magic weapons. Will Wraith Swords still do pretty good with undead? (Summon Lammashtas)

Demons can get diseased, right? I always thought that was odd.

<font size="2" face="sans-serif, arial, verdana">Wither bones isn't working for you? Lammashtas will be able to damage the undead, but they won't be nearly as good at it as a bane lord with decent equipment.

<font size="2" face="sans-serif, arial, verdana">I don't think they can. I was using lots of demons against Miasmatic C'tis, and only my humans were getting ill. That could just be miasma, though, rather than other disease sources.

Some things that lay waste to the undead include:

Herald Lance
Just Man's Cross
Flambeau
Banishment

Well, tested it with a fever fetish and Demons don't suffer from disease either. That's good to know.

Wellll, maybe not. I do have 2 lvl 4 priests, 1 lvl 3 priest, and a lvl 8 death pretender.

intsead, i have lvl 8 conjuration and I am casting Well of Misery this turn!

<font size="2" face="sans-serif, arial, verdana">Well, each of your sauromancers can cast three of them, and each will kill every normal undead it hits in an area of 6+. Assuming that it's all spectral legionairies and not dispossed spirits, that's a rough estimate of around 18 undead killed per mage per turn for the first three turns. Of course, that's the optimal amount of damage, and it will likely be a bit lower than this, but it's definetly the mst efficient way to use death mages to get rid of mass quantities of undead.
