Diplomacy problems
can someone explain to me why a race suddenly, for no reason, cancels all treaties - only to ask for a trade treaty the next turn? I've got the Lastest patch. And I'm not at war with anybody (that's about to change).. so why?

Is the race run by a woman? http://www.shrapnelgames.com/ubb/ima...ons/tongue.gif
j/k aside, I've had that happen to me as well, for who knows what reason. |
Re: Diplomacy problems
I too have had this done to me. Annoying, huh? You might want to download the diplomacy mod from the mod section. It stabilizes the AI in diplomacy quite a bit.

The various settings that govern how the AI reacts to you are changed when your treaty status with them changes. Currently, most of the settings are a bit too slanted towards making them 'favorable' to you when you are not in a treaty, so they tend to come running back after they've canceled. It is a bit silly, isn't it? http://www.shrapnelgames.com/ubb/images/icons/icon7.gif |
Re: Diplomacy problems
so that would mean - too avoid war avoid treaties.

Re: Diplomacy problems
Check out my mod. I made all the races act like their race description.
