Game won\'t play!!!!!Help!!!! I wanna play!!!!
 

I've tried all I know to do. I loaded the patch and updated my video card driver, but it still won't play. I have an inspiron 8000 notebook that has played everything from Arcanum to Civ. III. No problem. I have a 1ghz. processor, 256 megs of ram, and a 32 meg video card. When I try to load the game it swiches my desktop graphics from 1200X1600 to 600X800 and then I have to get back to my origional graphics. I've also tried booting the game while in lower graphic modes, but that doesn't work either. Like I said, I've had no problems with other games like Medievil Total War, Age of Wonders II, etc., so I don't know what this game has against my system. Any suggestions would be appreciated!

Try running it using some command-line switches, such as:

-r --res X Y Set screen resolution / window size (default=800 600)

Try that one using your usual desktop resolution.

And/or try:

-w --window Run Dominions II in a window

See command_line_switches.txt in your Dominions /doc folder for the list of command-line switches.

There are also switches for turning off things like the animated backgrounds and menu fades. Those can help.
