Looking for Graphics for mod project.
Well I've tried to draw modded units but I've tons of problems...
My mind for now is to add units to existing nations (don't want to waste Dev's work) or at least preparing new themes ... I've tried the Ashikaga and Order of Light mods, and I find them nice, even if Ashikaga seems me too strong ... Cause most nations are based on historical nations and others to epic fantasy are easy to add units. Oh well Ryleh is a little troubling me ... I'm skilled in balancing and "research" cause I'm fanatic of historical warfare and lover of knightly orders such Templar, Teutons and Hospitaliers(I hope future new unit healing battle affliction), Knight of Santiago or the Brotherhood of the Sword (knonw also as Swordbearer Brothers).A good example could be the addiction to Aeroscepale of macedonian units (Agema and Phalanx ... but still some missing like Silver Shield Company and others appeared in the Succession War). Perhaps the lone whole nation change will consist in the 2 water nation to a Bysantium and Arab Nations. This will make water warfare more enjoyable cause if a water nation is chosen he's PD both in sea and land. The drawback of adding more units is to cover the lacks of nations, so the best thing is to add few shock troops of those they've already. Don't know however how to put troops only in special themes, or make indy troops. |

The result seems to undo some of the best parts of the game for me. They see a nation with no assassin and fill it, another with no sneaking mage, another with no decent sacred troop. But they end up taking the balancing pros and cons of nations, individual advantages in certain playing styles, and fill up all the cons. Just my opinion. The ones that create an entirely new nation I do download and try. In those cases its interesting to see if they try to achieve the same pro and con balance. Creating a nation that compliments a playing style without trying to be everything at once. OK Im done ranting. I apologize if I was way off mark. Perhaps my bad English make you understanding bad ...
I mean I know each Nation has strong and weak points ... so on for Ulm it's possible to add heavier arbalestmen (the siege one, with the great shield called in italian "Pavese", the one struck in the ground), and a more heavy infantry core of holy units. For example... surely not mages, stealth troops or so on. |
