Re: cheats
Everything that would be a "cheat code" in other games, is a MAP or MOD code in this game.
Hmmm I guess there is room for someone to offer a cheat-code MOD or MAP. Everyone I know has been working on things to make the game harder. |

Re: cheats
It's not a cheat, but comes close... Take Ermor as your race. Then choose Ashen Empire special theme. With it, you will get free undead troops anywhere where you have dominion, the more dominion the more undead. Also, your dominion kills population at an amazing rate... So, anyone conquering your provinces will have to fight starvation. The undead have their weakness in the Banishment - a spell even the lowliest priest can cast to kill of most undead he faces. Force of 5 indie priests with few bodyguards can kill off many times larger undead force with ease.
Also, as you won't need any gold and people are going to die anyway you can take some 'free' points from scales. Take ALL basic scales to -3, with temperature you should go for cold because some of your undead have cold aura which is better in cold lands. As you need gems to summon your mages, priests and better commanders, you should consider taking Luck and Magic to +3. With this combo, almost all good events you get will give you magic items or gems. Then take as high dominion as you can, the cheapest castle and but the rest points to your pretender. You need some death to summon your first mages, but you should go to 9 or 10 as it gives nice blessing effects for your few unholy troops. AI doesn't understand supplies and does not buy priests, so your game will be easy. Be wanred though that Marignon will be hard opposition. ALL their commanders have priestly powers, excluding spies and assasins. They do have a stealthy priest, though... Just leave them out, choose a big map and try not to get your pretender killed before you have some mages and/or priests. If you want money, alchemise gems. |

Your best bet is to get the modding document (I believe it's in the doc/ directory, if you patched to 2.08), read it, and download various mods from Illwinter's site. Then you can start changing the stats of your own units in a mod - like, give increased magic, or whatever, to your national units. But, mostly, it will spoil most of the fun. You can have an easier game by using game settings that make life harder for the AI (like, put them on easy, but with high independent settings like 7-8; you will have to be careful what you attack, but the AI will take a looong time expanding, and fighting independents is much easier). Or, you can play Ashen Empire Ermor; the AI is notoriously bad at dealing with it. You get lots of "free" undead (take all negative scales except for Luck and Magic, and pump all these points into a massive dominion and a strong Pretender - don't forget the Death magic!). Keep Marignon out of the game, as they have too good priests. The game should be much easier (but, IMHO, rather boring). |

Re: cheats
Cheat abUsers should be shot behind the sauna. But there are always mods u can test that aren't cheats but maybe overpowered or something. Or you can make our own, like boost your troops a little.
