Maximizing Magic Resistance
 
I'm interested in determining the absolute maximum for Magic Resistance.

The max default MR I've seen is 20.

If that unit were made a prophet, then it gets a bonus of +5 MR in a province with a dominion of 10.

If the Magic Drain in the province is -2 or -3, then the unit would get +1 MR.

Resist Magic provides +4 MR.

Picus's Axe of Rulership grants +2 MR.

An Amulet of Antimagic offers +4 MR (is this cumulative with Resist Magic?)

I have never seen this, but does a sufficiently high level of experience increase MR?

Is there a Heroic Ability which improves MR?

So far, the maximum MR seems to be 36, but I'd love to hear from the Masters. What have I left out?

Iron Will is heroic ability and it raises MR quite fast.

I am sure there are more items,which raise MR,but I dont know if they are all commultative.
I recall for example Armor of Souls,which is only construction level 2 and gives +5 MR besides raising Blood Level and adding quite good protection.

Try --
Mage Bane (+5)
Lead Shield (+4)
Amon Hotep (+5)
Robe of Calius the Druid (+3)
Amulet of Antimagic (+4)

all of which should be cumulative for a total of +21, and leaves an ordinary infantry commander feet and one misc slot open.

Mages of any kind have increase MR, so you would want to have a prophet who has high astral magic to cast Wish until he has 10 in every magic path.

Are there any mr-increasing boots? I am thinking of the Boots of Gaia or other unique ones...

Rainbow armor gives +3, going for the artifactless max.
