computer-idiot question regarding this new CD key check thingy in 2.11
 

Sorry if this is stupid, but:

Will this new patch prevent me from playing domII on 2 different machines (as I have been doing so far)? I commute between two cities and have it installed on both. Currently in city A and have 2.11 installed, when I update to 2.11 in city B (which is installed with the same CD key of course) will it cause problems?

EDIT: sorry, one Last thing: since it apparently "calls" "home", whatever that means, does it mean I need a modem connection up and running, even when playing SP? Does this cost extra phone bill money?

This is probably more information than the companies would want given out about how such protections work, but...
As far as I know it only matters if the same key tries to play in the same game from different computers. So as long as your two computers dont try to play different nations in a game then you might be ok.
