Great Game! (Also map questions, please help)

I just recently bought Dom2 and I haven't been able to get much work done since!

Thanks for making a great game.

I'm making a map too, but i have some questions. I have the white dots and everything, seems to be working fine, but is there a way to limit the playable nations to only the ones that can handle hot provinces?

It takes place in a Lavaworld type place afterall...

Any advice(or links to advice) on what resources(mountains, etc,) are most valuable to hot nations?

Thanks,
tex

You could probably find the required commands in one of the Urgaia based scenarios that are located in the maps directory. These are the "Time of Blood" and so on scenarios.

Hum
You can't define specifically in a map what nations are/aren't allowed, you can only set the max nr of "land" (#landplayers X)and "sea" nations (#seaplayers Y) respectively.
What you can do is to use #specstart to define the starting province of the nations you want and "no start" flag to all provinces, so that all other nations will generate an error when starting the game http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/shock.gif
Drawback is that starting provinces will always be the same...

Thanks for the help!

I'm gonna have a beta Version to pass around pretty soon.

I'm also trying to find a way to eliminate all Green and Water gems/magic sites from the map. I may have to do this with a mod, which may have to wait until i get some other projects done.

EDIT

The global heat will be +2 or 3, trying to acheive a really harsh environment.
