Mixed pop. on planets

When I have mixed two races on a planet suitable for one of them (atmosphere wise) the colony was domed.I kinda expected that one of races will use domed capacity restrictions for pop. limits and the other would get to use the full planet capacity (as the planet has it's native atmosphere).

If there is even 1M of "non-breathable" population, it will be domed. Either remove the non-breathers or jettison them to space (I like the latter!!!). Then you will get full facility space.

Re: Mixed pop. on planets

What I actually wanted to achieve by having multiple races on a planet is a colonization base with races of different atmosphere types ready to take a seat in a colonizer to a planet with appropriate atmosphere.Off course I realized that this can't be done (without a serious drowback of domed planet), although I think it would be nice if it would be possible.

Since SE keeps track of the two popultions individually, it should be easy to have each race grow to its individual limit on the planet. Same with the facility space.

The other problem with 2 races on the same planet is that their happiness levels go down very fast....
