How do I deploy a Weapons Plat?
 

Well, yah'll answered my earlier question on why I couldn't deploy my weapons platform over a wormhole, so I built a Weapons Platform over a planet with a planetary ShipYard....now, how do I get it in orbit? I jetisoned two...that didn't work, they disappeared...I tried to deploy, but can't do that.....?

nope, they HAVE to be on a planet occupying cargo space. sorry.

they can be carried to another planet but deployment is planet-bound.

in other words, you build them on a planet and just let them sit there in cargo, once you are attacked they will defend,.... same goes for fighters etc,... you can launch your fighters before combat, or they can be launched during combat (better as your opponent doesn't expect them).

Think of a weapons platform as being a self-contained military outpost. With CSMs it's a group of nuke silos covered by a shield. They only are used on planet surfaces (otherwise, it's a satellite)
