Recruiting and Resources
Here is how I thought it worked, if you have the money to pay for something but not the resources it would use the available resources and then take the deficit out of the next number of turns until it is paid for. This is what happened.
I tried to recruit a Niefel Jarl 500 gp 60 resource. I had 500+ gold and 58 resource, the next turn the Niefel Jarl was still in the queue (which was as expected) but my resource pool showed -3 when is should have showed 56 (-2 for to pay for the remainder on the Jarl) Am I missing something, no forts were build in adjacent provinces nor were any of them lost to opposing forces. |
Re: Recruiting and Resources
I believe the display is inaccurate, but that the queue works correctly anyway.
As a test, did you get your Jarl on turn 3? The extra resources are available, but only if you have something to invest them in. If you put 56 resources of troops in the queue with it on turn 2, you should get those as well... Rabe the Jotun Accountant |

I will test that.

Re: Recruiting and Resources
I think rabe is right. The display is weird/bugged, but the actual unit production works as expected. The hard part is remembering how many resources a province has while the display is being goofy from left-over units.

Re: Recruiting and Resources
If I understand your question properly, there is one other possibility: If unrest in the province is >100, you won't make any progress towards producing the unit until you get that Unrest lower.
You can always cancel out the purchased unit for a full refund of Gold (assuming you still own the province), if that helps any... |
