Modding Question: mounted weapons ...
 
Hi all,

Is there a way to tell the game which weapons for a new "mounted" monster are weapons of the monut and which one are weapons for the cavalry ?

if I wrote

#mounted
#weapon "Lance"
#weapon "Broad Sword"
#weapon "Hoof"

how can the game understand that "Lance" and "Broad Sword" are for the cavalry and "Hoof" is for the mount ?

AFAIK you can't. Except when designing new weapons for mounts you should add a #bonus to avoid giving ambidextry maluses to the rider.

Yeah, what he said. #bonus and #nostr oughta do it, though the rider's attack skill or precision will be factored in no matter how you do it.
AFAIK, Dominions doesn't bother to make any sort of distinction between rider and mount beyond these two flags. The two are one and the same for all intents and purposes.

Ya, except for the two-stage mounts which we can't currently mod except by changing an existing one. (e.g. Griffon Riders, or Machakan spider riders)
