Help: hosting from Macintosh?
I'd like to be able to host and play on a Mac. To do this, one needs to run two instances of DOM II: one as host, one as player. I can open one instance, but when I double click on the DOM II icon again, it just takes me to the already open game. How can I open a second instance in the Mac?
Thanks, Merry |

Im just guessing but I dont want this to move too far without getting ANY answers. Everything I find says do a fast double-click to get a second session.
Maybe you can trick it into thinking its a different program by copying the starter icon and changing it to a host Version. That would have other advantages anyway since you could include alot of command_line switches for things like no fades, no animated backgrounds, no music, low-level graphic settings. Lots of things that a host Version wouldnt need to worry about and might make it run more efficiently. [ May 22, 2004, 13:50: Message edited by: Gandalf Parker ] |
