The Ark / Netghul ???
 

How does these artifacts work?

I tried Ark in an SP game but it seemed to do almost nothing ...

I tried Nethgul too ... but it casted 2 spells only in the first round, while it's supposed it to cast them every battle round, right?

The Ark appears to bLast every relevant target with blindness, disease and -slight- damage. I suspect that it's "MR easily resists" or milder in strength as it's not hugely overwhelming, at least damage-wise.

Nethgul is pretty wacky; there's a set of spells it can cast, so it can Body Ethereal you, it can teleport you around the battlefield (eek!), it can Paralyze or Mind Burn as well, and it sometimes seems to try to paralyze -you- for some reason. It's on the unpredictable side, and is no longer the guaranteed 2x Mind Burn/turn.

The Last I checked, the Ark still functioned as it did pre-patch. The Ark is excellent.

Nethgul is now post-patch someone less of a boon.

As to hurting friends, which Nethgul apparantly likes to do, has anyone ever noticed that the one Ryleh hero (big aquatic guy whose name escapes me, the one with only 2 misc slots) also does that as well? (Or if it is not he, than something veeeery odd has been happening to mind bLast in 2.11.)
