Enslave Mind then Gift of Reason question
 
An indy province was commanded by an Ice Devil with 4 water skill (IIRC). I got him via Enslave Mind. Of course, he is now a unit with no magic skill. If I cast Gift of Reason on him, will he recover his water magic skill?

<font size="2" face="sans-serif, arial, verdana">Yes, all units gain any appropriate magical skills when they have gift of reason cast on them.

Falling Frost, Frozen heart and not to mention the various ways a water4 mage can help a nation fight it out in sea provinces.

Plus, it's an *Ice Devil*. Healthy hit points, good skills, cold immunity, usually a good set of slots although Edward Icyfists lacks weapon slots.

That said, it must be a pretty funky map file for an Ice Devil to lead independents. Yowch.

Yeah, Ice Devils are tough, that's why I want to GoR him. I was just being a little bit facetious about the water path, although only a little. Winterland is a victory site on the Orania map and always has Ice Devil commander, 6 or more giant Ice Elementals, ~30 Winter Wolves, and around 20 Ice Demons (I think they are Ice Demons - flying, shoot frost balls). The site also always has the Mount Frost magic site which allows a water mage to recruit 2 winter wolves/turn for free.
