Connecting to MP game. Help?

The technical/HW thread seems to be very HW focused, so I'll post this here instead.

I am having some problems connecting to Graeme's new game. It is my first attempt at an MP game. I simply get the message that either my internet connection is down, or the game server is down, and it shows the IP (xxx.xx.xx.xx) and port (xxxx)

I can ping the server, but I can't connect. I have checked and re-checked the IP address and port number.

I am using a router, but since I am connecting as client, this should not matter.

Have anyone had problems connecting to a Dom host where the client side was the problem because of some setup/network issue?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

<font size="2" face="sans-serif, arial, verdana">The one thing I forgot to mention, is that you should make sure that you aren't using the numberpad to enter the periods, and possible the numbers in the IP.
