It's not really that complicated.

If you don't find anyone more worthy, you can play with/against me, as long as you host (I am hosting a few myself now and have reached my limit with hands full). I can usually get about 4-5 turns per week in.

Normally, if you want to start a game, you should declare the basic setup you would like to favor:
- map (or map type)
- settings (indy strength, etc.)
- what nations you really want/dont want to play

That way, people can decide whether this is "their thing". (Like if you wanted to play with Indies at setting 1 and easy research, many people might think: Oh, that's not my cup of tea, while others could think "hey what a fun idea", so it is good to say that right at the beginning.) I personally like Indep around 5ish with everything else normal, but am up for new things too.

Anyhow, if you want someone off whom you want to get your feet wet and bounce ideas, you can certainly look here and post here.
