Modding and the game\'s default values
Is there a file in the dom2 distro that has all of the default settings for the game?
It would be really nice if the game itself were just a "mod" of a default nothing state. That way we could see all of the various units and such with their values. This would help a lot for modding the game. ~msew |
Re: Modding and the game\'s default values
A big percentage of DOM2 is actually DOM1 code, and that wasn't done with moddability in mind. At that time it was perfectly viable to hard-code all unit values etc. into the .exe, and only the devs know when this will change, if ever at all.
It would require major re-coding, so it's very unlikely, though. There's lots of info available for modders, just check out the relevant threads on this forum. Most likely someone else will jump in and post links the those and other ressoureces here .. I don't have the time to at the moment. [ June 07, 2004, 10:07: Message edited by: Arralen ] |
