question about magic items
 

i have a question about magic items that buff the mage's magic level.

Do they also help raise the level for ritual spells also?

For example:

Skullface raises the mage's death level by 1.

Does this also affect the level of ritual spells he can cast?

Yes.
The only items I can think of which boost in-combat ONLY are things like the Crystal Shield.

Skullface and almost all other items of this type will help you cast rituals with higher requisites.
