There is a replay discrepancy in 2.12 which has nothing to do with MP
Testing Zens updated Cradle map in SP, I found at least two very bizarre discrepancies: One in which the battle report listed my GoH'ed Vastness as having died ("we were beaten by the defending forces..."), but the replay showed him laying the utter smackdown. But he must have lost, since I cant find him now, hence the replay is wrong.
Also, I got the message that I tried to assassinate someone in province X; watched replay, was successful. But: The assassin in question was not there, but rather in a province 3 provs away!! (and had no rituals, weird gear, etc. on him.) I have saved both of these games, but cant figure out how to attach these here for people to evaluate. Any tips?? Thanks |
Re: There is a replay discrepancy in 2.12 which has nothing to do with MP
I've seen a few incidents in 2.12 games where the actual battle result blatantly did not match what was shown in the battle replay - ie: commanders dead/missing that did not die or retreat in the battle video, and assasinations that are shown taking place in the wrong province, etc.

Assassination in the wrong province? That's a weird one. It was your own assassin, right? And just the report was wrong, but the position of the assassin before and after was correct?
Were the Vastness, assassin, and/or enemies using any magic in common that might be isolated as the cause? PvK |
Re: There is a replay discrepancy in 2.12 which has nothing to do with MP
I am almost certain they were not -- however, and this is the crux: IF there is a battle replay discrepancy, how could I know for sure if there were no bizarre magics used (hee hee!)?
But no, the assassins had no rituals of returning or flying gear, etc., and "perpetual storm" was also up and running in both cases for me (so my vastness couldnt fly -- tested that out beforehand!). There is something odd afoot, as Lintman corroborates. Can I post those files here? Anyone know how? |
