VQ Life Drain
 

Hi,

I have another quick newbie-ish question. If a VQ (who starts w/ built-in life drain) equips a two handed sword that does not have life-drain ability, does the VQ keep the life drain ability when she hits something w/ the sword or not? I'm guessing no but wanted to be sure because I've read a few comments on the board that make me think I might be wrong.

No, the Life Drain get substituted by the new weapons (IIRC)

The life drain is a characteristic of the weapon she uses ("life drain"), not of the vampire queen herself.

So if you substitute her primary weapon, the characteristics of the new weapon will take affect. It's not that the units abilities get overridden, but the weapon replaced, so this is applicable for weapon length, attack and defense value, damage amount and -guess- damage type, which is 'life drain' in the first case.
