Can someone help me?

Whats the effect of building multiple ECM systems? Is the defense bonus cumulative? If so, how can this relates with combat sensors being available just one per starship? This will lead to the fire always missing because the defense bonus can be incremented per each ECM built while we cannot build more than one Combat Sensor...

Can a good soul help me?

Only one Combat Sensors or ECM per ship is effective at one time.
