Quick Question
 
Hi.

At the moment I'm working on a new race for Dom2 and have a question about balance issue. Would it be to hard to kill an assassin with Awe (1) when the assassin tries to assassinate a commander?

Thanks for the input http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon7.gif . The assassin will surely be expensive and can only be recruited at the capitol.

While I'm at it, I'm looking for Weapon/armor stats sheet, I havn't been able to find it anywhere. It would be nice if someone could point me to a link so I don't have to go all the weapons and armor through in dom2.


Edit: Doh!!!, I just found them in the manual http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon10.gif *kicks himself*

A Weapons & Armor database doesn't exist yet, but I've been meaning to make one at some point. I'll probably get to it soon, and it shouldn't take too long. Within a month or so one should be available.

Saber Cherry created one. It was a sticky thread in the forum, but it was unstickied at one point. It seems Unwise, atleast, has also added something to it... Anyway, I found it via forum search. I think it would be nice if someone made it .xls or any other file and would put it up somewhere.

Nice to have some weapons to compare with when making new weapons.

Anyone know if new modding codes will be released with the next patch? I'm asking because I want to add special abilities to the weapons.

<font size="2" face="sans-serif, arial, verdana">Yes they will. But its not my place to say which ones (and DEFINETLY not my place to give a when) so Im afraid thats all I can offer you.

Of course I wouldnt have to have access to the beta-test forum to have said that. There have been mod codes added to every patch since modding was included in the game. Johan seems to like MOD codes.

Most commanders do have a high morale... But militia and so would be almost useless (even more so than at the moment) during assasinations. If they weren't available in too high numbers, that is, if they were expensive and/or capitol only, I think they wouldn't upset the game balance too much. You could also consider giving them lower Stealth value than is normal for assasins, to compensate, if you feel it would be too much.

Didn't mean to say that a list of weapons and armor didn't exist, but I was talking more about something along the lines of the Unit_ID.xls file for the equipment, with stats listed for them, that's my next project.
