How nice is Holy Avenger?
I rarely see Holy Avenger work, but that is because I avoid the combat-mage type and have no clue as to SC building at all. But recently, out of sheer accident, I did see it come into play. Some questions of mine include:
1. What exactly is the type and strike of the HA? (Is it electricity? Holy?) Can it damage my own troops as well, or only enemies? 2. Is it worth it to arm a wimpy but holy-4 person with some armor and a sword, cast HA, and tell him to go at it? Or only really thug-like types? (Thus: Communion mastering?) And speaking of Communion Master: what about an Arch Theurg and a dozen Slaves with HA on, will it transfer to the slaves (there is no icon for it)? A good idea for an Abysian Dragon, or a Coral Mama? |
Re: How nice is Holy Avenger?
I believe isn't worthing equipping a mage like an Ant.Dragon to make him fighting for Holy Avenger.
I suppose it could be good for an Arch-Angel with a Sword of Justice or a Crystal Shield to have Holy Avenger, but not a non combatant priest. At least IMO, even because you cannot have more than 1 holy avenger strike for every combat round. IIRC it's a Smite spell the result of triggering Holy Avenger. |
Re: How nice is Holy Avenger?
Equippig Coral Queen of Atlantis might work.

Looks like it is not really worth building an idea around; I was sort of hoping for holy avengers/pyre communicant fun! But probably better this way.... |
Re: How nice is Holy Avenger?
Might be fun with an Elemental Queen of Water prophet armed with the Sword of Justice, considering how fast they regenerate. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon12.gif
