Help For SEIV Newbie
 

I ordered SEIV this week and have been watching the board and was impressed with passion displayed by the folks for the game. I look forward to getting my hands on it and trying a little modding depending on the required computer skills.

To my question, I downloaded AI Mode Pack 1.5 from the forum. Is that mod compatible with the 1.27 patch? If so, should I install the game, add the mod, then add the patch or add the patch first. Or does it matter?

My advice is to install just the patch.I bet new mods are being made right now fully compliant with v1.27
Now, I am not saying the previous mod is not compatible but I think a lot of it is already in the patch.

After you start looking at the files and feel confident you should then start adding races, AI mods, sounds, etc...

About this comunity, I can only say I am impressed at the maturity level displayed so far. But then, I feel this game acts as a filter because it doesnt have enough eye candy to attract casual gamers and pre pubescent kids... just lots, and lots, ands lots of gameplay.

Well, it is too early to tell just how compatible mod pack 1.50 is with the new patch, but since the new patch offers a new and improved way to install mods and out 1.50 Version overwrites lots of default files (there is a backup for them included in mod, but that is backup is for 1.19 Version), it would be better for you to wait until we post a new Version of out mod. Besides, I know that both Sergetti and Xi'Chung are not using cloaks because they didn't work in 1.19.
