Defending a castled province without patrolling?
How to do this?
If I don't want to patrol due to pop loss, or by another reason, how can I defend the province, assumed there's a castle in the province itself? |
Re: Defending a castled province without patrolling?
Without Provincial Defence as well?

Quote:
build a garrison for each caste and move them to the other castle . iirc there is a order move + patrol . this way when they are moved each turn they shouldn't patrol but defend the castle . |
Re: Defending a castled province without patrollin
there'll only be pop loss if there is unrest. unrest is reduced through lowered taxation before it is through patrolling, i believe, so lower the tax rate and you should be fine, unless you have very high levels of unrest.
and if your tax rate is already 0, for instance because it is a bloodhunting province, well then, just suck it up and either patrol or don't. |

No, I want to do that to add my troops to PD in case of attacks, without risking to lose pop due to unrest if I patrol.

Re: Defending a castled province without patrollin
well, there's an easy solution to your problem:
demolish your castle. :P |
Re: Defending a castled province without patrolling?
Maybe they should add a "Patrol and look the other way in case of anything but an enemy army" =P

Re: Defending a castled province without patrollin
I wish there were
"Research & Defend Land if Necassary" and "Preach & Defend Land if Necassary" and "Forge & Defend Land if Necassary" and ... well you get the point. I wish there was a Yes/NO toggle to deteremine if your units would step outside and defend the land if necassary. |
