Some Small Modding Questions here
I am terribly sorry, I cannot get this damn search function to work as I hoped, I spent about 25 minutes and now I give up, hence I ask here.
All these pertain to my new and exciting Mod I am trying to do, Alexandria, which will be a sort of Arabian Nights/Ottoman Empire kind of a thing. 1. Can I mod a unit so that it gets the *information gathering capabilities* of a spy without the ability to instill uprisings? 2. Can I mod a unit so that it can perform the "seduce commander" function? (Cant find it in the mod doc.) Can I mod that so that it only works on size-2 males? 3. Can I mod a unit so that one of its attributes (in this concrete case: #stealthy bonus increases in provinces of a particular kind (in this case: wasteland)?? 4. I would like to mod a unit / a unit's attack /a unit's weapon (whatever works easiest) so that it hits an entire square (as a melee AoE 1), much like the Unique Item "Harvest Blade", except that it should not be a "never misses" attack -- is this possible, and if so, how? 5. Can I mod a unit so that it can have a flying strat move only (that is: not a tactical (battlefield) flying move)? 6. Can anyone point me to a nice Addendi on the mod documents? There are some things missing.... Related question: Does anyone know if/when there will be a command which allows for us to add a mod as a Theme to a nation? Thank you much! |
Re: Some Small Modding Questions here
1) No, unfortunately not.
2) Don't think so. 3) Differentiated stealth capabilities are not possible. 4) This is not possible. Area of effect always hits every one in a square, but there is a defence save on some spells with AoE (Falling frost and earth quake). Don't think it is available on weapons though. Several attacks will not solve your problem either as one weapon only attacks one target. 5) Not possible either IIRC. 6) Not sure. Someone els might have to answer this. Try Liga's page. It is not possible to add a mod as a theme. It has been wished for, but according to JK it is not easily implemented. The themes are sort of ad hoc coded and to add and change themes by modding would demand a remake of several parts of the code. |
Re: Some Small Modding Questions here
Thank you for the prompt reply.
This is all good to know. I believe then that I shall lay my project to rest! |
