Is it worth it to install patch 1.27?
 

I've been lurking here and see quite a few Messages regarding the problems with the patch; I really haven't seen much praise for it either.

Is it worth it to upgrade to the new patch or is it better to stay with 1.19 with a mod pack attached?

Any thoughts greatly appreciated!

I haven't had time to play with it much. Work tends to get in the way. So far, it looks good. More construction by the AI certainly. Checked the queues of all the players in the game and found several ships and units lined up for manufacture.

There was just a problem with the first Version of the 1.27 patch that was fixed very quickly.

I'd think, if you have 1.19 installed, you can't go wrong by up-patching to 1.27. 1.19, while fun had a lot of bugs. Many many of those have been fixed in 1.27. I expect to have even more fun with 1.27!

I CERTAINLY would recommend installing 1:27. Just play it, and see the hugh differences it makes to AI behaviour and challenge. Absolutely sure, 1:27 is THE BEST UPGRADE SO FAR http://www.shrapnelgames.com/ubb/ima...ons/icon10.gif
