We're off with yet another newbie game! This time I thought I'd open it up wider to include intermediate players, and we're also looking for considerably larger number of players (hopefully 14).

Again, I don't really know how to define newbie/intermediate, but maybe something like the following will do:

<= 10 mp games
And never came in 1st or 2d in a mp game that included experienced players

Or if you don't qualify for the above, but feel you are not speeding through the Dom2 learning curve (perhaps because you've got a life? http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/wink.gif then use your own judgement and jump in).

This time around I'm going to be selfish and claim Abysia right out of the block. Also, there was a tentative claim on Caelum (I'll get that cleared up asap). Finally, anyone interested in Ryleh/Atlantis should know that there's only 5 water provinces on Inland, so taking one of these positions might be a bit dicey. Having both positions in the game is out of the question.



Cause this is newbie game, here are the startup instructions:

1) Post in this thread to reserve your position
2) Design your Pretender standalone
3) On the main/entry Dom2 menu, choose Network
4) Enter "mosehansen.dk" for server
5) Enter "2291" for port
6) Choose the nation for the Pretender which you have designed.
7) If you haven't already, register on mosehansen at: https://www.mosehansen.dk/cgi-bin/dom2.pl
8) Then go to: https://www.mosehansen.dk/cgi-bin/do...me=Pandemonium
If you've successfully uploaded your pretender, you'll see your nation listed as Anonymous, check the "That's me" box.

That's it - you're done! Once all players have done this, I'll start the game.

Well, as I said, I wanna join the game!
I wanna claim R`lyeh, because they are a lot of fun, but that's probably a bad idea...
So I'll give you this list:
1. What's that Caelum claim? if its gone, I'd like to take it =P
2. Jotunheim, I think, but I really have little expirience with them...
3. R`lyeh =P

So meanwhile, its a claim on Jotunheim, but if someone really wants it (really really wants it) I can switch to R`lyeh.
And I'd like to know about that Caelum thingy, because I'd really like to play them if they open up (Im not good with them, but Ive had fun in SP)

I would like to join in with Marignon (never played them before). Is posting here enough to claim the nation, or is the claim only valid once a pretender has been uploaded? (I still have to figure out what pretender I will use for Marignon)

Claiming here reserves the spot, upload when you can. It would be nice if we could all get uploaded by tomorrow, but since we're looking for 14 players it may take us longer to fill up. So far, here's what we've got:
