Thought that the troops need a bonus for defence since the loss of weapons platforms and fighters in the 1.27 mod..... Name := Fortification I Description := Ground base for troops. I have never seen the AI use troops. Instead the AI just destroys the colony.

That maybe true, but I am playing two multi-player games!!
And so troops are more likely to be used. I just want to know if the modifier is correct mostly..... |

Ahh... sorry. I've never seen this ability on any of the existing components. I'm glad I checked abilities.txt before I posted this reply. Why don't you test it out, and I'll test it out, and then we'll post our findings here. Looks like you found an ability in abilities.txt which isn't on any of the existing facilities? It looks okay but testing is the only way to know for sure.

It's not a component but a facility.
Was doing it as a very large troop but found this ability and change it over to a facility as then it can not be moved off world and will no have a bucket load of weapons. Just want to know if the plus/ minus is right. I don't have a game that far along that I can do combat. Thanks for looking. Rick |

No need to wait until you have a game that far along. Also, adjusting the supply usage and the extra movement points of your engines makes this kind of test even easier. |
