OT - Anyone been to Puerto Vallarta?
 

Just thought I would ask if anyone has been to Puerto Vallarta?

There is a very good chance me and the wife will be moving there as of Nov 1. Just wondering what everyone suggests for entertainment, things to see, etc?

And if there are any suggestions or some of you have experience living there short or long term, please let me know about it!

I honeymooned there years ago. They like honeymooners.

There are places around there that Gringos should not go.
But then the USA has palces like that too.

Most Hotels have tourism boths outside of them.
A great way to find places to goo and see.

I was there about hmm... 8 years ago, and enjoyed the visit. It was very warm and relaxed and the ocean and jungle and pelicans were nice. I enjoyed the people, as well, in general, but there was also distressing poverty for some of the people, which is sad. Fresh fruit in abundance and some good food, and some food which would take getting used to. If you have the chance, I would definitely recommend visiting before moving there, to see what it's like.

used to go there a lot as a kid. I am totally jealous of you, you DO realize that, right?

What I wouldn't give to move to a less stressful job/life/environment/etc...

Count yourself lucky! And, hey, if there are any further job openings down there, let me know, eh?
